Kelowna and Summerland
Hopefully you all are tracking that I post pictures from the most recent!
So this first photo is of the Lipsett family - well, the ones we unexpectedly found at home in Summerland - which, in order of photo, are Sebastian, then short little me, with Linda and Don. There is something so great about friends that are far and wide and not a daily, or even yearly part of my life, but with whom I know I can drop in and be so warmly welcomed and cared for - thank you to them for being these people in my life!
Russell Currie comes next and I wish you could all meet Russell! He has been a friend and influence for 11 years now (not to mention, one time prof and boss!!!). Russell and I love to argue and this first picture of us captures that perfectly - this is me trying to explain that it won't kill him to look at the camera and smile! You can see how successful I was with this pitch! His home in Kelowna was a great place of fun and work - Leslie is here working - this is her classroom - in this chair, with this view, she wrote her final exam for 'the gospel of John' and completed another course. As tough as it can be to carve out space for school on this road trip, I know Leslie would say that this isn't too shabby of a way to finish her B.A.! Russell fed us too well, but though our waistlines complained, we didn't! Wow, chicken cordon bleu - this man can resist my arguments and cook! I chose the last photo because it is quintessential Russell - business attire - dress pants and tie, in rubber boots, biking jacket and helmet - on his way to work!
